Recently, the first car brands to be publicly equipped with the new version of CarPlay have been revealed, they are Porsche and Aston Martin. These two well-known car brands will also be the first to experience exclusive personalized design.
Today, Apple is working with major automakers to bring their own unique design style to the CarPlay interface. This means that different car brands will have the opportunity to have a personalized CarPlay theme interface.
Specifically, the new CarPlay-enabled Porsche models
feature a "three-barrel" dashboard interface, with a background image
that simulates Porsche's unique "Pepita" texture, which undoubtedly adds
to the vehicle's personalization element. The CarPlay design of the
Aston Martin model is different, with the brand's exclusive green color
outlining the dashboard, showcasing the Aston Martin's unique brand
identity.
Apple officials have said that the new version of
CarPlay is no longer a simple projection of the iOS system, but to "let
iOS fill the entire in-car screen". According to Apple's preview during
WWDC last year, the new version of Carplay will support Acura, Audi,
Ford, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Porsche, Volvo
and other companies, and can integrate various performance data of the
car, including speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, engine
temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, etc., so as to fully "take over"
the original car machine system.
